Rising Stars (age 8-10) Term 1

Mar 8 @ 10:45 am - 11:45 am AEST

Dance Masala Rising Stars gives developing dancers a chance to hone their stage presence and skills while improving upon their dance technique. Technique is what separates a good group to an excellent group! Term payment includes access to Zoom class in case you ever need to miss a class, and recordings for practice via private app.

Class is held at Arcana, Moorooka

Dance offers numerous benefits for children, especially in socialisation, literacy, and confidence development. Here’s a quick breakdown based on research:

  1. Socialisation: Dance encourages teamwork, communication, and emotional expression. Children work together, sharing space and collaborating on movement, which strengthens peer relationships and social skills (Pica, 2011).
  2. Literacy: Dance improves language skills by fostering body awareness and the ability to follow instructions. Through movement, children develop a better understanding of rhythm, sequence, and narrative, which ties closely to literacy concepts like storytelling (Bresler, 2004).
  3. Confidence: Engaging in dance boosts self-esteem as children experience personal achievement and mastery of skills. This can have a positive impact on their willingness to take risks and express themselves (Koch, 2015).

Are you interested in Bollywood for your child one but you aren’t sure which class would be best or how they’ll go? Fair enough! Purchase a trial class and come give it a try! A trial class is a great way for your young dancer to test the waters, and see how they go in a new environment with other little dancers of their age and ability level!

Please Note –

  • If continuing, the $25 will be removed from the full term fee
  • Rising Stars are split into two groups in 2025 – 10:45am (1 hour class) Rising Stars and 12pm (1 hour class) Bomb Patakas
